Show Master Data Information directly on card and lists (Specification on Pages)

Why would I use Replicate Master Data funtionality? - Dynamics 365 Business Central

(the functionality was called Replicate Master Data which is still the used in the videos, but the functionality is the same)

With the functionality Specification on Pages, it's possible to show a number of fields on given tables and associated pages. To see what tables and pages that are available, see this article Information Setup, Master Data on Documents & Specification on Pages – Abakion

Accessing the Specification on Pages can either be done from the Master Data Information Setup page or just be searching for it

On the page it's possible to define what table you want to add a new field to, and what Information Code to show

After choosing a table, it's possible to define a given numbers of fields to add to the table. It differs what kind of fields and how many fields that can be added to the table, but for alle tables the first 5 or 10 fields are of the type Text, whereas for some tables it's possible to add other field types such as Integer, Decimal and Date

When the given field has been chosen, the Information Code to be used for this field must be added as well

When the Information Code has been added, the field is now added to the given table and will be visible on the associated pages

If you add an Information Code to the Specification on Pages that is already used for given master data og documents, you must use the action here to updated to pages with the underlying information
